PUSH PIN HEATSINK

A push pin heatsink is a cooling device designed to be mounted onto a component, such as a central processing unit (CPU) or a graphics processing unit (GPU), to help dissipate heat generated during operation. It consists of a metal base, usually made of aluminum or copper, and fins or pins extending from the base.

The feature unique to a push-pin heatsink is its easy installation. Unlike traditional heatsinks that require mounting mechanisms, the push pin heatsink utilizes a simple push and lock mechanism. The pins on the heatsink are designed to fit into mounting holes on the component, and with a gentle push, they securely attach the heatsink to the component.

Radian Thermal Products offers quality push-pin heatsinks. The push pin design makes installation quick and easy, ensuring your electronic devices’ longevity and optimal performance. Our push pin heatsinks are made from durable materials designed to effectively transfer heat away from the electronic components, preventing overheating and potential damage.

WHAT ARE PUSH PINS?

Heatsink push pins provide a secure attachment method for heatsinks to your board with some PCB modifications.  Radian Thermal products fits various PCB hole sizes, and are made from various materials such as brass or plastic. The heatsink push pin uses a spring that provides a constant and reliable pressure to ensure proper contact of the heatsink. Options include different heatsink push pin heights, and the pressure can be adjusted by using a different spring combination to achieve the desired force on the heatsink.

Brass Heatsink Push pins

Brass Push pins with compression springs have a flexible barb at the end that engages with a hole in application’s PCB. Once installed, the barb retains the pin. The compression spring holds presses the heatsink to the device being cooled. Radian offers a wide range of brass push pin sizes for optimal pressure, ensuring no damage to the PCB and ideal pressure of the heatsink to the component being cooled. Made of RoHS compliant lead-free brass.Brass Heatsink Push pins are resistance to high temperature and thermal cycling.

Plastic-heatsink-Push-Pins

Plastic Heatsink Push pins

Plastic Push pins with compression springs have a flexible barb at the end that engages with a hole in application’s PCB. Once installed, the barb retains the pin. The compression spring presses the heatsink to the device being cooled. Radian offers a wide range of Plastic push pin sizes to provide optimal pressure, ensuring there is no damage to the PCB and ideal pressure of the heatsink is applied to the component being cooled.
