Liquid Cooled Cold Plate
A Liquid Cooled Cold Plate is typically manufactured by embedding a copper pipe in Aluminum to produce a leak free product suitable for water, glycol and other liquid cooling applications. By paying attention to the flatness of the channel surface, a good thermal contact can be achieved, and Typically Liquid Cooled Cold Plates have from 2 to 6-pass loops, and by carefully planning of the geometry of the pass loops we ensure that we move the fluid closer to the device that is generating the heat. Similar to our embedded heatpipes, a thermal epoxy is applied to provide a gap free thermal interface between the tube and the cold plate.
Radian can also produce heat sink blocks with ultra fine internal fins that significantly enhance the heat exchange area for cooling fluids. All components of our liquid cooling modules are joined together using a one-step brazing process which helps provide leak free operation. This process is so reliable that we guarantee our liquid cooling blocks against leakage.
