PCIe Fansink

A PCIe Fansink is specifically designed for a PCI Express (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) card, which is a high-speed serial computer expansion bus standard. Format specifications are maintained and developed by the PCI-SIG (PCI Special Interest Group), a group of more than 900 companies that also maintain the conventional PCI specifications

As a PCIe card has a height restriction of 14.48mm this means that the height is fairly limited for the PCIe fansink, especially when considering that a typical BGA chip height is around 3mm including solder balls.

The following list of PCIe fansinks have been specifically designed and time tested on many PCI card applications, but are ideal for other low profile applications. SubZero PCIe Fansink

PCIe FansinkThe SubZero series of low profile Fansinks are made from extruded Aluminum and then anodized. There are two standard sizes with options for 5V or 12V fans. Pushpins are available in Plastic, or Brass. As we use an extrusion, Subzero can be modified to increase the length of PCIe fansink. Please contact us for a custom quote.

Scorpion PCIe Fansink

The Scorpion series of low profile Fansinks are made from skived copper and then treated with an anti-oxidation film. There are two standard sizes with options for 5V or 12V fans. Pushpins are available in Plastic, or Brass. As we use skiving, Scorpion can be modified to increase the length, and width of PCIe fansink. Please contact us for a custom quote.

BGA Fansink

FansinkIf two slots are available, Radian's  BGA heatsinks with fans are high efficiency heatsink cooling products designed for BGA chipsets and other OEM applications. These devices mount with EZ Snap™ mounting clips to provide optimum cooling for various package sizes, and are easy to install and require no special board modifications or complex assemblies. The heatsinks are constructed of aluminum for optimum heat transfer and are designed specifically for BGAs and other surface mount packages then finished with black anodize plating. Our standard Fansinks are mounted with screws the top, but for environments with high frequency vibration custom solutions are available that include attaching to the base of the heatsink using countersunk screws and lock-nuts.
